Meet Jennifer

Jennifer is a business and operations leader with a deep track record in strategic planning, communications, and business development within the health and biotechnology fields. She has held progressive roles in the public and private sectors over the last 15 years, managing complex initiatives at the regional, organizational, and program levels. With extensive experience in the areas of innovation systems and translational research strategy, Jennifer takes a holistic approach to creating practical solutions that achieve our clients' business and legal needs. She's helped start-ups access capital, form synergistic partnerships, and develop successful marketing strategies. 

 

As Director of Client Services at LeungLaw, Jennifer builds and executes customer strategies to identify, develop and manage our global network of IP associates. In addition to our marketing and business development activities, Jennifer supports the broad scope of patent and trademark prosecution, including managing the end-to-end customer experience involving client onboarding, service delivery and engagement. She also provides management consulting services to the firm's entrepreneurial clients.

Social engagement

Jennifer has volunteered her time and professional experience as a committee member of various national science and health policy associations. She is also engaged as an active alumnus in the development of students and early professionals pursuing both scientific and business careers. In addition, Jennifer also thoroughly enjoys volunteering her time as a director on the board of her children’s daycare.

Notables

As a researcher, Jennifer earned numerous scholarships and awards for her work focused on Alzheimer’s disease. She has also published in leading peer reviewed scientific journals on the subject. As a strategy consultant, Jennifer’s multi-disciplinary expertise has catalyzed the creation of regional innovation strategies, research infrastructure for translational research institutes, and large-scale research programs, representing over $100 million in public and private funding.

Schooling

Jennifer completed both undergraduate (Hons. B.Sc.) and graduate (M.Sc.) studies in pharmacology at the University of Toronto. Jennifer expanded her academic studies beyond neuroscience and later graduated with a business degree (MBA) from the Schulich School of Business, specializing in Marketing and Strategic Management of Technology Firms. Jennifer’s certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) ensures the firm’s operational and project management practices are of the highest standards and are optimized to best serve clients’ needs.
